Prince Habib
Creative Director, Writer, Author, Singer, Dancer
Prince Habib is a multi-talented singer, dancer, community advocate, and now published author whose work uplifts, empowers, and celebrates Black culture in all its forms. With over two decades of experience as a performer and educator, Prince has made a lasting impact both on stage and in the community. His newest creative milestone is his debut children’s book, A Very Kwanzaa Xmas, a heartwarming holiday story he was inspired to write following a meaningful Kwanzaa celebration. Through it, he brings a fresh and joyful perspective to cultural traditions, family, and self-discovery.
Prince’s commitment to youth empowerment runs deep. He is the founder of the Alpha Omega Summer Camp and the My Brown is Beautiful program, two initiatives specifically designed to support and uplift Black foster youth. Through mentorship, creative expression, and self-love practices, these programs encourage young people to recognize their inherent value—both inside and out.
As a professional dancer and choreographer, Prince has taught for more than 20 years at institutions such as San Diego State University, UC San Diego, and nearly every major dance studio in the region. His dynamic presence has also graced the screens of television and film, and he’s directed numerous music videos, seamlessly blending his artistic vision with a passion for storytelling.
Beyond his personal achievements, Prince is a leader and advocate for the creative community. He currently serves as President of African American Writers & Artists San Diego, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting and amplifying Black voices in the arts. Whether he’s performing, teaching, mentoring, or writing, Prince Habib continues to use his talents to build bridges, spark imagination, and inspire the next generation of artists and changemakers.
