2025 Annual Exhibition

The African American Writers & Artists (AAW&A) Annual Exhibition brought together community, creativity, and storytelling in a powerful celebration of Black voices and artistic expression. This year’s exhibition showcased original works by writers and artists whose stories honored the past, reflected the present, and imagined bold futures. This was an exhibition of the works created in the past year.

This year’s Annual Exhibition featured a collection of works created by youth, adults, and elders connected to AAW&A programs and the broader community. Attendees experienced an inspiring range of artistic perspectives, meaningful conversations, and moments of intergenerational connection.

The exhibition created space for reflection, dialogue, and celebration—affirming the power of the arts as a tool for healing and empowerment.

From visual art to written word, the exhibition served as a living archive of creativity, healing, and cultural preservation. This event had many past members present including one of the original founders Calvin Manson.
